Day 1

Arrive in New Delhi

On arrival, our driver holding your name board will welcome you and take you to your hotel.

Day 2

Old and New Delhi sightseeing

One great reason to travel around India is to discover our rich history and heritage sites. UNESCO has recognised three heritage sites in Delhi, including Humayun’s Tomb, whose inspiration is from the iconic Taj Mahal. We will be strolling around Asia’s largest spice market Khari Baoli, and visiting Qutb Minar the tallest minaret built of bricks.

After breakfast we will begin our full day Delhi City tour. We start at the Jama Mosque, built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1656. The area around the mosque, Silver Street, is filled with a variety of markets, from food streets (paratha Wali Gali) to decoration markets (Kinari Bazaar). Afterwards, we will walk to our first Indian heritage site, Khari Baoli, the largest wholesale spice market in Asia.

Later in the day, we will drive past Rajpath (formerly known as Kingsway), talking a glimpse of the President’s house (Parliament House), then arriving at India Gate, a memorial to seventy thousand soldiers who died during the first world war.

Day 3

Delhi – Udaipur
Flight – 1:20 hours

After Breakfast, we will drop you at Delhi airport and fly to Udaipur. On arrival, our driver will meet you and take you for an overnight stay at your hotel in Udaipur.

Day 4

Udaipur sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, our city tour of Udaipur begins. The first destination is the Jagdish temple in the old city. Then we will go to see the City Palace, built in flamboyant style architecture, which took over 400 years to complete with construction starting in 1553. The City Palace is constructed on a hill providing a stunning panoramic view of the city’s surroundings.

During the day, we relax with a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Later we will visit Sahelion-Ki-Bari, also known as the “Gardens of the Maids of Honor.” We recommend you stay and enjoy a folk dance performance in “Bagore Ki Haveli.”

Overnight stay at your hotel in Udaipur.

Day 5

Arrive and check into your hotel. The evening is free at your leisure, staying overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 6

Jodhpur – Jaisalmer
285km

After breakfast, drive to the Mehrangarh Fort, where we will explore the various palaces inside the fort. In 1458, Rao Jodha became ruler and within one year decided to build a new capital. The foundation of this fort was laid in 1459 by Jodha himself on a rocky hill six miles south of Mandore, the ancient capital of Marwad. A hundred and twenty meters high, the hill was known as Bhakurcheeria, the Mountain of Birds, or Cheeriatunk, the Bird’s Beak. The fort has never been sieged.

Afterwards, we will drive to Jaisalmer and check in to your hotel.

Day 7

Jaisalmer sightseeing

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Then we will visit the heart of the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer. You will visit Bada Bagh, Gadisar Lake, and the Golden Fort (Jaisalmer Fort), which is made of gold coloured stone. It is the only living fort globally, and about a quarter of the city’s population still lives inside the fort. Many of the houses and temples showcase exquisitely skilled sculptures.

We will visit beautifully carved Havelis (private mansions), notably Salim Singh Haveli and Patwo Haveli. These Havelis were the elaborate homes of Jaisalmer’s wealthy merchants. They contain a courtyard and many rooms. The ostentatious carvings are etched in sandstone with intricate detail, then pieced together in different patterns. They were commissioned to show the owner’s status and wealth.

Return to the hotel in Jaisalmer for an overnight stay. In the late afternoon, depart for Sam dunes and enjoy a camel ride to watch the sunset in the great Thar Desert.

Day 8

Jaisalmer – Bikaner
330km

Day 10

Jaipur sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the Pink City. Founded in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur is considered the first planned city in India. Jaipur has now morphed itself into India’s capital of style. There is a subtle sass in it’s stride, and it is all under the radar. Very few cities in the world blend the weight of tradition with the gait of cool. It plays effortlessly on the seesaw of the then and the now.

Jaipur has many attractions to visit, so depending on your interests, our driver will take you to monuments or places of your interest.

You can visit the Amber Fort, the Wind Palace (Hawa Mahal), the Water Palace (Jal Mahal), or the Birla Temple (Galtaji).

We recommend you to take a heritage walking tour in the Old City. Specially designed walking tours will allow you to maximise your understanding of the city and experience the hidden corners of Jaipur city. Your guide will take you through vibrant bazaars and lanes of the Old City. You can also interact with locals and try some of the best street food delicacies of Rajasthan.

In the evening, end your tour by visiting the Govind Dev Ji Hindu temple (Lord Krishna’s temple) near the city palace. One of the essential practices in the temple is ‘Aartis’ and ‘Bhog’, which have taken place from the time temple was built, and people are continuing with the tradition today. You can witness the prayer ceremony at this temple.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
