Holi Festival Tour Overview:

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi, airport transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Explore Old and New Delhi: Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar.
Day 3: Travel to Mathura and Vrindavan, visit Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, ISKCON Temple, experience Holi celebrations.
Day 4: Witness Lathmar Holi in Barsana, visit Nandgaon for Holi festivities, return to Vrindavan.
Day 5: Drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri, check into hotel, leisure time.
Day 6: Celebrate Holi with a local family, enjoy Rajasthani folk festivities, visit Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar.
Day 7: Return to Delhi, airport transfer for departure.

Arrive in Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, our representative having a placard displaying your name will meet you to pick you up and transfer to your hotel. Today only an airport transfer is included and no sightseeing or any other visit is planned or included. If you arrive in Delhi early morning and wish to do sightseeing, then kindly let us know and we shall do the needful and include a visit to Delhi attractions. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.

Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, we will explore Old Delhi and enjoy a heritage walking tour. Visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1656 AD. The courtyard can accommodate about 25,000 people during prayers.

We start our walk through Silver Street, Decoration Market (Kinari Bazaar), Food Street (Parathe Wali Gali), and Spice Market (Khari Baoli), which is Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. The vibrant colors and fragrances of various spices will mesmerize you. After visiting Old Delhi, we drive to India Gate, a memorial to 70,000 soldiers who died during the First World War. Drive past Parliament House and the President’s House. Later, visit Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar, both classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Overnight in Delhi.

Delhi – Mathura – Vrindavan

After breakfast, drive to Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Visit the famous temples in Mathura and explore the Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. Later, proceed to Vrindavan, where you will visit the Banke Bihari Temple, ISKCON Temple, and the colorful streets of this holy town. Experience the Holi celebrations and join in the festivities. Overnight in Vrindavan.

Vrindavan – Barsana – Nandgaon – Vrindavan
50 km

Today, we will witness the famous Lathmar Holi in Barsana, the village of Radha. Here, women playfully chase men with sticks as part of the unique Holi tradition. After experiencing this joyful event, we proceed to Nandgaon, the village of Lord Krishna, where Holi celebrations continue with music, dance, and color throwing. Later, return to Vrindavan for overnight stay.

Vrindavan – Jaipur
240 km

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal city known for its architectural grandeur. Continue the drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.

Jaipur (Holi Celebration)

After breakfast, we will visit a local family’s home to celebrate Holi in an authentic way. Experience Holi with organic colors, traditional music, and delicious sweets like Gujiya and Thandai. Enjoy Rajasthani folk dances and festivities.

Later in the afternoon, visit Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) for a photo stop. Drive through the historic walled city and visit the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory. Overnight in Jaipur.

Jaipur – Delhi (Departure)

After breakfast, drive back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the airport for your onward journey. If you have a late evening flight and wish to explore more of Delhi, let us know, and we will include a sightseeing tour.
