Day 1

Arrive in Chennai

On arrival at Chennai airport, our representative will greet you with a placard displaying your name and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in Chennai.

Day 2

Chennai – Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day city tour of Chennai. Start with a visit to the Museum to explore its art and bronze gallery. Then, take a scenic drive through the Flower & Fruit Market, passing by landmarks such as the High Court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, and Saint Thomas Cathedral.

In the afternoon, head to Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for the night.

Day 3

Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

After breakfast, explore Mahabalipuram, starting with a visit to the 7th-century Shore Temple, nestled amidst verdant gardens. Next, discover the 7th-century Five Rathas. Afterward, proceed to Pondicherry. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy an evening stroll through the bustling markets of Pondicherry.

Day 4

Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Tanjore

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to Pondicherry. Explore the city and immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, known for its distinct spiritual energy. Later, proceed to Swamimalai, stopping en route to visit the majestic Nataraja Temple at Chidambaram. Admire its golden-roofed sanctum sanctorum and the representation of the presiding deity as the element of air, known as Akasa Lingam. Afterward, continue your drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5

Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai

After breakfast, discover the historic Brihadeeswarar Shiva Temple in Tanjore, a masterpiece of Chola dynasty architecture built by King Raja Rajan between 985 AD and 1010 AD. Then, explore the Raja Rajan Art Gallery to admire bronze sculptures dating from the 9th to 16th centuries. Next, journey to Trichy and visit the awe-inspiring Srirangam Vishnu Temple, featuring 21 towering gopurams, with one reaching a remarkable 73 meters, the tallest in India. Later, proceed to Madurai, where you’ll check in at the hotel. In the evening, experience the sacred Puja ceremony at Meenakshi Temple. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 6

Madurai – Periyar

After breakfast at the hotel, explore Madurai city. Visit the magnificent Meenakshi Temple, renowned for its 1000-pillared hall adorned with beautiful sculptures from the seventeenth century. Then, discover the grandeur of Thirumalai Nayak Palace, built in 1636 by King Thirumalai Nayak with the assistance of an Italian architect. Originally four times larger, the palace’s present structure housed the king’s residence, comprising Swargavilasa and Rangavilasa. In the afternoon, journey to Periyar. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

In the morning, enjoy a boat ride across Lake Periyar to observe wildlife in their natural habitat along the water’s edge. Keep an eye out for wild boars, sambars, wild dogs, Langur monkeys, and wild elephants. Later, visit a plantation garden. In the afternoon, experience a 30-minute elephant ride through the plantations. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind. Overnight at the hotel in Periyar.

Day 8

Periyar – Kumarakom

After breakfast, proceed with a drive to Kumarakom. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 9

Kumarakom – Alleppey

After breakfast, explore the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a popular tourist attraction known for its diverse bird species. This marshy area is home to various birds, including migratory species during the winter season.

In the afternoon, embark on a traditional Kerala houseboat cruise, a delightful experience. Cruise through palm-fringed canals, observe paddy fields and village life, and relax while listening to the soothing sounds of wind and waves. The tranquil backwaters add to the charm of this emerald green land. Enjoy freshly cooked local food served onboard. Dinner and overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 10

Alleppey – Cochin

Enjoy breakfast aboard the houseboat. After check-out, drive to Cochin and check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax at leisure. In the evening, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Kerala by attending a Kathakali dance show. Overnight stay at the hotel in Cochin.

Day 11

Cochin – Transfer to airport

After breakfast, explore Cochin’s highlights, including the Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, celebrated for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. Visit the Jewish Synagogue in the heart of Jew Town and the St. Francis Church, India’s oldest European church. In the late evening, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
